Her sermon, “Choosing Hope”, is offered on the Sunday after Christmas, a time to reflect on how we carry hope forward when the holidays end and the work of justice remains. Together we will learn and practice various types of meditation, including meditation on breath, mindfulness meditation, and loving-kindness meditation. Sessions will last between 45-60 minutes, 30 of which will consist of guided meditation, with the remaining time reserved for questions and discussion. Please join us; no registration required. Meditation is an ancient contemplative practice that permeates cultural and religious boundaries, with roots in most faith traditions. It can also be a totally secular practice.
