UUCNH – Fellowship Groups

We provide human kindness to one another as members of our church

Bocce

– Meets year round:

We play a very loose game of bocce so come one, come all and join us for some Bocce fun! It will be held on the side lawn between the church and Bellwood, unless the weather doesn’t cooperate then it will be held in Friendship Hall. People can bring shareable food and drink (preferably single serve for now). This is a fun, non-competitive time for beginners or the more experienced.  See you soon!

  • first Saturdays from 10:30  AM to noon
  • third Mondays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm

Book Discussion Group

– Group is currently on hold

Do you enjoy reading and discussing literature? If so, you may be interested in our monthly Book Discussion Group. A different book is chosen each month, with a focus on a wide variety of literature. You are sure to find something that interests you!  Please let Ruth know if you would like your name added or deleted from the book club email list.  For more information contact Ruth.

Quilting Group

Have rotary cutters and fabric, will travel! The Quilting Group meets each month to work on quilting projects and to share techniques with each other. All levels of experience are welcome. Bring a brown bag lunch.  Call the church office in case of bad weather or any questions contact Peggy Trevanion.

Craft Group

-Meets each Thursday of the month at 10:00am – 12:00pm in the East Room and/or by Zoom.

In addition to sharing our handwork projects and craft ideas, the Craft Group members support each other and serve as a resource center for information we might be needing at the moment. We have members who are not crafters but love to come and join in our spirited and interesting discussions. We also celebrate birthdays with the celebrant providing the treat.  We raise money to fund projects not included in the church budget by holding two sales of handmade items and baked goods – one is a two–day holiday sale in November and December and the second is a one-day sale in the spring.

We welcome requests for funding and ask that you submit them in writing to Irene Dinning or to any member of the group.  Visitors and new members are always welcome. Crafting is not required.

Additional Groups

Fellowship groups are important and are a major part of our culture at UUCNH.

In the spirit of this long-standing UUCNH tradition, a group campsite is reserved for five days each summer at the Loleta Camp Ground in the Allegheny National Forest. Whether you can come for one night or several, please join us for outdoor fun and fellowship.
