Charge:

to assist the President and the Church Board of Trustees in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The Executive Committee is to consist of the Church President, the immediate past President, the Vice President, and the Minister, who is considered an ex-officio non-voting member.

Authority:

The President, in consultation with the Committee, has the authority to set the agenda for meetings of the Board of Trustees, with input from individual Board members. The Committee has the authority to conduct the current and ordinary business of UUCNH between meetings of the Board of Trustees when the Committee determines that it is appropriate to do so. The Committee is to refrain from conducting any business that is not current and ordinary unless the Committee determines that the matter is an emergency and that it is in the best interests of UUCNH that action be taken quickly. The Committee is to consult with the Board whenever possible before taking any actions that it believes are not current and ordinary business. The Committee is required to promptly inform the Board of its actions and request ratification for them.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain a Master List of the activities, duties, tasks, etc. for which the Executive Committee is specifically responsible.
  2. Promptly inform the Board about its activities.
