One of the inspiring talks presented at the General Assembly in Pittsburgh last June was Brian Broome’s lecture, in which he encouraged all of us to “Begin your Memoir!” He dismissed the limitations most of us think about when we consider the project. Brian talked about the encouragement and urging three women gave him, a poor, black, dark and queer man to “write it down.” He did. His memoir is Punch Me Up To The Gods, published by Houghton Mifflin, 2021. We can learn much from his memoir and his story

UUCNH is offering the opportunity to begin your own memoir on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 2:30 to 2:30 pm. We will gather in the Sanctuary (rain or shine) for a welcome and orientation. Writing materials and snacks will be provided.

Please note, we will not be reading our material to each other, nor will we be photocopying them. There is no charge but you must register so that we will know if anyone is coming.
