Charge

In order to build a loving religious community at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills (UUCNH), the Children and Youth Faith Development (CYFD) Team is charged with supporting the CYFD Coordinator in creating and implementing a Faith Development Program for Children and Youth. This program will support their religious and spiritual exploration and help them to develop a Unitarian Universalist faith and identity. CYFD programs will be age-appropriate and will be taught in a safe and welcoming learning environment.

Authority

The CYFD Team works with the CYFD Coordinator in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the CYFD classes and programs to fulfill its charge in accordance with the UUCNH Bylaws and policies. The CYFD Team also cooperates with the CYFD Coordinator in the recruitment, training, and support of teachers, youth advisors, and caregivers to advance the mission of the church. The CYFD Coordinator has the authority and responsibility for the CYFD program.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain a Master List of activities, duties, timelines, tasks, formats, etc. for which the CYFD Team is specifically responsible.
  2. Work with the DLFD to develop and submit a proposed budget for the team as part of the annual church budgeting process.
  3. Submit a report on the team’s activities for inclusion in the UUCNH annual report to the congregation.
