Charge
In order to build a loving religious community, the Adult Faith Development Team (AFDT) is charged with developing and implementing an Adult Faith Development Program that supports congregants in their religious and spiritual journeys, facilitates deeper connections within the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills (UUCNH) community, and helps people to develop and deepen their Unitarian Universalist faith and identity.
Authority
The Adult Faith Development Team works with the UUCNH Director of Lifespan Faith Development (DLFD) in the development, implementation, and evaluation of AFD classes and programs to fulfill its charge in accordance with UUCNH Bylaws and policies. The ADFT also cooperates with the DLFD in the recruitment, training, and support of facilitators to advance the mission of this church. The DLFD has the authority and the responsibility for the adult faith development program. The Adult Faith Development Team will work cooperatively with the Children and Youth Faith Development Team, the Connections Team, Fellowship Groups, etc. as needed, when planning and scheduling programming.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a Master List of activities, duties, timelines, tasks, formats, etc. for which the Adult Faith Development Team is specifically responsible.
- Maintain a relationship with and provide a monthly update to the team’s Board Liaison.
- Work with the DFLD to develop and submit a proposed budget for the team as part of the annual church budgeting process.
- Submit a report on the team’s activities for inclusion in the UUCNH annual report to the congregation
