Infidels and Unitarians

Was the United States founded as a Christian nation? In a sermon given in 1831, Dr. Rev. Wilson, an Episcopal minister, wrote that “The founders of our Nation were nearly all infidels….Among all of our presidents from Washington downward, not one was a professor of religion, at least not of more than Unitarianism.” Mary Doubleday will speak about church and state issues, both past and present.
