Building a Community Garden with Hearth

Be a part of the UUCNH’s justice efforts by helping to build a community garden with HEARTH!
The UUCNH’s Green Sanctuary Team has partnered with HEARTH, a local nonprofit that provides a range of supportive services and housing that empowers homeless families, who are survivors of domestic violence or other trauma to become independent, self-sufficient, and adequately housed.
Together we are building a community garden that provides healthy, local food and positive, supporting social activity. The next two garden construction events are planned for:
- May 10, 2022 from10:00am – 2:00pm
- May 12, 2022 from 9:00am – 1:00pm
Where: HEARTH – 3724 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116
You will see a sign for HEARTH on Mt. Royal (just south of the intersection with Ferguson) – turn on Elfinwild, then right into HEARTH’s driveway. Follow the driveway up past buildings on the left and right – park in the rear and you will see the garden on the left on the hillside.
