4th Sunday Forum

CANCELLED – The 4^th Sunday meeting for January is cancelled due to the Towne Hall meeting on the 22^nd and Congregational Meeting on the 29^th.

The purpose of the 4^th Sunday Forum is to provide a forum for group discussion of a wide latitude of topics deemed important to members of the group, and to provide the opportunity for those involved to hear, understand, and appreciate one another’s thoughts.  

Agenda for Sunday, January 22nd: Changes Coming?  In recent years, there has been considerable discussion regarding the “7 Principles”, which, along with the “6 Sources” and a Mission Statement, comprise Article II of the By-laws.  Suggested updates had included adding an 8^th Principle and expanding the scope of the 1^st.  However, an alternative is now being discussed – to replace the Principles and Sources entirely with a new Article II. In September and again in November, “stakeholder groups” have already participated in Zoom meetings and submitted feedback.  The resulting  full draft of Article II (PDF, 3 Pages) (or some updated variation of it) will be up for vote at the 2023 General Assembly.  Join us on January 22 to discuss how UU’s wish to describe themselves to the general public, and, more specifically, these proposed changes.
