The purpose of the 4th Sunday Forum is to provide a forum for group discussion of a wide latitude of topics deemed important to members of the group, and to provide the opportunity for those involved to hear, understand, and appreciate one another’s thoughts 

Agenda for Sunday, September 25 – Talking to Strangers!  Although behavioral scientists agree that social interaction makes us happier, healthier and more successful, a survey indicated that only about 7% of us would choose to talk with another person in a waiting room.  Yet a number of experiments – and some of our own experiences – have shown that these spontaneous connections are nearly always more enjoyable than we would have expected.  In an August 25 NYT essay, columnist David Brooks contends that the fate of America will be determined in large part by the quality of how we treat one another in these small daily interactions. Join us as we share perspectives on this ubiquitous part of human experience
