| Minister |
The Rev. Carol D. Meyer earned her B.Sc. in Chemistry
from Bucknell University in 1971 and her Ph.D. in chemistry from Brown
University in 1975. She returned to
university in mid-life and earned a Masters of Divinity degree from
Harvard University’s Theological School in 1994, the same year in which
she received fellowship as a minister in the Unitarian Universalist
movement and was ordained by the First Parish UU in Cambridge, MA. Carol served as the first minister of Kingston
Unitarian Fellowship in Kingston, Ontario for five years before
accepting UUCNH’s call to serve as its settled minister beginning in
the fall of 1999 |

Religious Education |
Greta Porter is a fifth generation Unitarian.
She joined UUCNH in
1993 and jumped right into teaching Religious Education. She
became Director of Religious Education in 1999. Greta particated
in the recently created Religous Education Credentialing Program of the
Unitarian Universalist Association and, in February 2005, became the
first Credentialed Religious Educator in the Ohio Meadville District.
She is the mother of three Unitarian Universalist sons.
Greta can usually be found at the front door on Sunday mornings,
ready to great our families with children and youth. |

Music Director
|
Mary Doubleday, Music Director, holds a B.A. from
Wells College and an M.Mus. from Northwestern University. She has been
involved with choral singing since the age of 9. As an undergraduate,
she sang with a 20 member Chamber Choir that won first place for
women’s choirs at the International Choir Festival in The Hague,
Netherlands. At Northwestern, she sang in the Concert Choir conducted
by Margaret Hillis and was a professional soloist for the University
Chapel Choir. During her school years, studied voice, flute, and piano
as well as choral conducting and music history.
In 1988, she received a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from
the University of Illinois and is now a Math Instructor at Carlow
University.
Mary and her husband Dennis joined UUCNH when they first moved to
Pittsburgh in 1988. They have two children who are both in college.

Janet New
Hilf has a degree in Music from the University
of Pittsburgh (graduation date being withheld to protect the innocent),
and has a long work history in the area of administrative support at
Carnegie Mellon University. Also, she's very camera shy, but this
expert artist's rendering should help everyone recognizer her
when they see her.
